Route 66 Exhibit... traveling through 2015
Thanks to the wonderful work and creativity of our contributing artists, this exhibit remains a hit and is still in demand! August 2012 was it's first outing at the Rocky Mountain Quilt Festival. We said back then we hoped it could travel as long as 3 years which would mean it could retire this summer... but... we still have 5 requests on the books... one in May 2015 w/ Spinning Spools, 1 in June 2015 with NQA in Arkansas, 2 in October 2015, 1 tentative in November. We think we need set end of 2015 as our exhibit retirement so we can return quilts to owners.
ATTENTION Contributing ARTISTS... we need your help to get mailing and or email updates that have occurred after submission in early 2012. Contact: Lisa ....lisa@jukeboxquilts.com with updates. Would even be good to confirm with Lisa if all remains the same.
Everywhere this exhibit travels, we hear wonderful things. I'm sure you have too. So cool!!!!

For the second time in my quilting career,my work has been honored by Quilters Newsletter. The Feb 2014 issue of QN will feature the last page PHOTO FINISH image as my 2013 quilt titled Best Friends. Sorry I can't show the whole page... That would be wrong . It's their magazine.
But I can post my own photo of same.

A winner at Houston International 2013 and Road To Calif Jan 2014
I am so honored. My small piece " The Long Winter's Veil" is a painted surface category prize winner ( don't know what yet) at this years International Quilt Festival in Houston. I love the judging at this festival as they are not inhibited from honoring smaller pieces. Lucky me. UPDATE: My little snow bunting piece took 1st place at Houston International.

In Jan. 2014, it also took first place at Road To California. I'm incredibly honored. My message to self... Make sure what I'm creating really touches me deeply. It seems to help!

Europe's Patchwork & Quilt Journal includes Patt's work.
Several weeks ago, I was contacted by a lovely quilt magazine editor Gabi Maier from Vienna. I was honored to have been recognized at all, and even more thrilled when asked if her German language magazine might include an article on some of my work. Pictures sent for her option to choose. Questions answered and low and behold, I learned there would be several pages dedicated to my work. It turned out to be 7, including 3 pages dedicated to one quilt: " My Gentle Giant Ben."
The magazine arrived in my mail yesterday and what a shock when I opened the package. On the front cover... my piece "Proud Hertitage" which honored local friend and former Padua Hills Theater ( Claremont, California, U S A ) folk dancer: Margie Torrence.
Everything inside the magazine is in German. I feel pretty dumb. I can't read an article about my own work. I do know how I answered questions though so I imagine I pretty much know what it says... "somewhere in there anyway." What an honor! Thanks Gabrielle!!
